Spaghetti BologneseIngredients

  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 lb. loose sausage
  • 2 Tb olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 large cans tomato sauce
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley
  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • Salt and pepper to taste

To Make

  1. Cook the sausage meat first in a large skillet on medium heat until browned through with no pink remaining.
  2. Drain, set aside, then cook the ground beef the same way.
  3. Add both to a large sauce pot with a drizzle of olive oil, chopped carrot, onion and garlic.
  4. Cook everything on medium for about 7 minutes. Add the tomato sauce and bring to a boil.
  5. Simmer on medium-low for about 25 minutes. Then add Parmesan, parsley, and salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Cook the spaghetti according to package directions. Drain and add to a large serving bowl.
  7. Top with the Bolognese sauce and serve hot!
